Hi, I’m Janine! I’m a UX/UI designer who works with companies and individuals to develop product usability and user experience design. As a lifelong artist, I have a passion for turning concepts and recommendations into user interface designs that work, drawing my knowledge of design patterns and having a strong foundation in human-computer interaction.

When interviewing my colleagues and peers, they described me and my work in the following ways:
I started my career in the health field, and after more than a decade working in fitness and wellness, I found my passion while working as a program manager at a national corporate wellness consulting firm. Eventually, using self-taught skills in art and design, I found my way into the product world where I worked in and then led the company’s team of designers and communicators to develop marketing plans, customized wellness portal designs, and digital health incentive designs and campaigns for more than 30 corporate clients, including Johns Hopkins and Marriott International. This work inspired me to further my education in the design field, as I have completed a UX/UI design certification from Springboard.
I’m passionate about creating solutions for all companies, but being a health professional, my insights are particularly useful for health, wellness, and fitness companies. I’m the co-founder and COO of The Willow Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization that raises money for late-stage cancer research. There, I run the organization’s marketing, design, and fundraising efforts.
I maintain certifications in wellness, including being a certified personal trainer and exercise physiologist. I have a master’s degree in Kinesiology and a bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation from James Madison University.
